The physiology of it, the power of our bodies, the synchronism of baby and mother, the fears we have to overcome, and so on. I could be talking about this topic only forever! My mother had four C-sections. Besides that, I'm from Brazil, where the statistics for C-sections are the highest! My husband filled out the pool birth twice. And twice I didn't get in, but they were both born in a beautiful water birth in our bathtub.
So I can't get any more excited about documenting the most transcendental event of your life! I also understand each birth is unique and each mother has their own experience. But I'll be there not only to document your birth experience.

"Mariana is incredibly talented and does amazing work! She photographed our home birth of our youngest son and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the entire experience. She was professional and organized before I went into labor and made sure that I could get a hold of her at any hour that I went into labor so that she wouldn’t miss it. When I texted her that I was in labor she was very prompt in responding and got here at the perfect time to start taking pictures. She was a very warm and comforting presence in the room and also did a great job of blending into the background and was not a distraction for me at all. She never prompted us to pose for pictures but managed to get some incredible shots of us. I was blown away at the final product she provided, and I was so impressed at the flattering angles and shots she was able to capture even though I was holding a barf bag up to my face for a lot of my labor! She stayed for all the sweetest moments, from the herbal bath afterwards to our older son meeting his little brother. She said some very nurturing and helpful things to me when I was in some pain after the birth and I was so glad to have her there with me in the room. She also has personally experienced home births for her babies and is passionate about birth so she made me feel very comfortable. She was also very prompt in sending us our photos and was delightful to work with. We will cherish our photos forever and will be able to remember that day vividly thanks to her amazing work.
